Very easy  - soak in cold water, wring out, and put it on your dog! The Ruffwear Swamp Cooler cooling coat uses a natural evaporative cooling system. Evaporative cooling keeps your dog cool as water evaporates from the surface of the coat. The bright color of the cooling coat is designed to reflect solar heat. The coat ensures your dog's comfort as temperatures rise. 

The cooling coat is made of three layers for maximum cooling effect: 

• the outer layer facilitates evaporation,
• the absorbent middle layer stores water for evaporation, 
• the comfortable inner layer transfers the cooling effect to the dog. 

We recommend using the cooling coat as a preventive measure. During hot summer months, make sure not to overdo activities and to perform them early in the morning or late in the evening. Ensure your dog has plenty of rest, 24/7 access to cooled spaces, and access to fresh water. Thermoregulation is one of the dog's basic needs that ensures its well-being. Therefore, it is very important to constantly observe your dog and pay attention to whether it still needs the cooling coat or not. How do I choose the right size?

• Determine the size by measuring the chest circumference behind the front legs (approximately two fingers behind the armpits) at the widest part of the chest.
